The Bible describes a friend as someone whose loyalty holds in trouble, whose honesty can hurt, and whose company shapes a person's character. Proverbs has several sayings about friends (Proverbs 17:17; 18:24; 27:6; 27:17). The histories record the friendships of Jonathan and David (1 Samuel 18:1) and of Ruth and Naomi (Ruth 1:16-17), and Jesus calls his disciples his friends in John 15:13-15. What a friend is Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\t\t
