The Bible speaks to nervousness through its words for fear and anxiety, and one answer it gives is that God is present. The Lord tells the young Jeremiah, "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you" (Jeremiah 1:8), and Israel and Joshua hear the same command joined to the same promise (Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:9).
