Feb. 2025 \/ 13:50 Uhr (CNA).<\/p>\n<p>Die Erzdi\u00f6zese Seoul in S\u00fcdkorea hat \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/news.catholic.or.kr\/WZ_NP\/section\/view.asp?tbcode=SEC01&amp;cseq=2&amp;seq=202955\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">die \u00c4ra der 1.000 Priester<\/a>\u201c erreicht, nachdem sie am 7. Februar 26 neue Priester f\u00fcr die Ortskirche geweiht hat. Erzbischof Peter Chung Soon-taick, der der Zeremonie vorstand, rief die neuen Priester dazu auf, ihren Dienst \u201emit wahrer Liebe und best\u00e4ndiger Freude\u201c auszu\u00fcben.<\/p>\n<p>\u201ePriester sind dazu berufen, dem Volk Gottes als Mitarbeiter des Bischofs zu dienen und durch ihren priesterlichen Dienst mit dem Bischof vereint zu sein\u201c, erinnerte der Erzbischof in <a href=\"https:\/\/news.catholic.or.kr\/WZ_NP\/section\/view.asp?tbcode=SEC01&amp;cseq=2&amp;seq=202955\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">seiner Predigt<\/a>. Er f\u00fcgte hinzu: \u201eDenkt daran, dass ihr aus der Mitte der Menschen ausgew\u00e4hlt und eingesetzt seid, um das Werk Gottes zu vollbringen.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Er forderte sie zudem auf, \u201esich immer den Guten Hirten zum Vorbild zu nehmen, der nicht gekommen ist, um sich bedienen zu lassen, sondern um zu dienen und die verlorenen Schafe zu suchen und zu retten.\u201c Die Erzdi\u00f6zese Seoul erreichte diesen Meilenstein 194 Jahre nach ihrer Gr\u00fcndung.<\/p>\n<p>Mit diesen 26 Weihen stieg die Zahl der Priester in der bedeutendsten Erzdi\u00f6zese des asiatischen Landes, das 2027 den n\u00e4chsten Weltjugendtag ausrichten wird, von 974 (einschlie\u00dflich eines Kardinals, eines Erzbischofs, dreier Bisch\u00f6fe und vier Monsignore) auf genau 1.000.<\/p>\n<p>Insgesamt z\u00e4hlt die koreanische Kirche laut den neuesten Zahlen des Episkopats 5.721 Priester. In ihrer Geschichte hat die Ortskirche mehr als 7.000 Priester geweiht; der heilige Andreas Kim Taegon war 1845 der erste, der die heiligen Weihen empfing.<\/p>\n<p>Bei der Zeremonie am 7. Februar wurde auch der zweite geh\u00f6rlose koreanische Priester (und der vierte in ganz Asien) geweiht.
