Die American Humanist Association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/261603\/aclu-files-suit-against-west-virginia-over-5-dollars-million-grant-to-catholic-trade-college\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">reichte eine Klage ein<\/a> gegen die Beh\u00f6rde wegen der Vergabe des Zuschusses und wurde dabei rechtlich von der American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) von West Virginia vertreten.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWir sind stolz darauf, f\u00fcr unsere Mitglieder Stellung bezogen zu haben, und sind ermutigt, dass das Gericht bei dieser verfassungswidrigen Mittelverwendung die Grenze gezogen hat\u201c, sagte Amitai Heller, Rechtsdirektor der American Humanist Association <a href=\"https:\/\/americanhumanist.org\/press-releases\/victory-court-rules-grant-to-out-of-state-catholic-institution-violates-west-virginia-constitution\/\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">in einer Erkl\u00e4rung<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDie Trennung von Kirche und Staat ist nicht verhandelbar, und die [Wasserbeh\u00f6rde] hatte kein Recht, \u00f6ffentliche Infrastrukturgelder zur Finanzierung von religi\u00f6ser Bildung und Interessenvertretung zu gew\u00e4hren\u201c, sagte Heller.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201eUnsere Mitglieder sahen diesen eklatanten Versto\u00df gegen die Trennung von Kirche und Staat in ihrer Gemeinde, und in Zusammenarbeit mit der ACLU von West Virginia haben wir gehandelt\u201c, sagte er.<\/p>\n<p>Das Urteil wurde in einer Pressemitteilung der humanistischen Gruppe bekannt gegeben. Da der Richter das Urteil m\u00fcndlich verk\u00fcndete, lag bis Donnerstagnachmittag noch keine schriftliche Anordnung vor. Ein Sprecher der Gruppe teilte CNA mit, dass eine schriftliche Anordnung innerhalb der n\u00e4chsten 30 Tage erwartet werde.<\/p>\n<p>Nach Angaben der humanistischen Organisation gab das Gericht der Wasserbeh\u00f6rde 30 Tage Zeit, um einen Schriftsatz bei Gericht einzureichen, der die Einhaltung der Anordnung belegt.<\/p>\n<p>St. Joseph the Worker mit Sitz in Steubenville, Ohio, unterrichtet baubezogene Gewerke wie Tischlerei, HLK, Elektrik und Sanit\u00e4rinstallation. Neben den handwerklichen Kursen bietet die Einrichtung auch einen Bachelor-Abschluss in katholischen Studien an.<\/p>\n<p>Die F\u00f6rdermittel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/261301\/west-virginia-awards-catholic-trade-college-5-dollars-million-grant-for-expansion\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">h\u00e4tten unterst\u00fctzt<\/a> Berufsbildungs- und Bildungsprogramme mit Sitz in West Virginia. Sie h\u00e4tten zudem die Gr\u00fcndung eines gemeinn\u00fctzigen Bauunternehmens unterst\u00fctzt, das Studenten f\u00fcr Arbeiten an Projekten zur Wiederbelebung der Gemeinde besch\u00e4ftigt h\u00e4tte, die nicht profitabel genug f\u00fcr private Investitionen w\u00e4ren.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Sprecher von St. Joseph the Worker war bis Redaktionsschluss nicht f\u00fcr eine Stellungnahme erreichbar.<\/p>\n<p>Auf die Bitte um eine Stellungnahme lehnte die Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrerin der West Virginia Water Development Authority, Marie Prezioso, es ab, das Urteil direkt zu kommentieren. <\/p>\n<p>\u201eJegliche Kommentare \u2026 werden in \u00f6ffentlichen Gerichtsakten oder anderen \u00f6ffentlichen Bekanntmachungen erfolgen\u201c, sagte Prezioso.
