Der Solidarit\u00e4tsfonds der US-katholischen Bisch\u00f6fe f\u00fcr die Kirche in Afrika hat im Jahr 2024 $2,6 Millionen f\u00fcr die Unterst\u00fctzung von 96 pastoralen Projekten in 32 afrikanischen L\u00e4ndern und multinationalen Regionen bereitgestellt.<\/p>\n

In einer Mitteilung vom 22. Juli Stellungnahme.<\/a>, erkl\u00e4rte die US-Bischofskonferenz (USCCB), dass das \u201egrenzenlose Wachstum des katholischen Glaubens\u201c in ganz Afrika \u201edie Kirche ebenso herausfordern kann wie materielle Armut\u201c.<\/p>\n

Die \u201eGaben der amerikanischen Katholiken an den Solidarit\u00e4tsfonds der USCCB\u201c helfen dabei, einen \u201eGeist der Einheit\u201c innerhalb der Weltkirche zu bewahren, so die Bisch\u00f6fe.<\/p>\n

Im Vergleich zur Initiative von 2023<\/a> wurde die Finanzierung um $500.000 erh\u00f6ht, wodurch die gef\u00f6rderten Projekte um 28 % ausgeweitet wurden. <\/p>\n

\u201eDer Solidarit\u00e4tsfonds f\u00fcr die Kirche in Afrika erm\u00f6glicht es afrikanischen Katholiken, lebenswichtige geistliche und soziale Dienste zu leisten\u201c, sagte Erzbischof Thomas Zinkula aus Dubuque, Iowa, Vorsitzender des bisch\u00f6flichen Unterausschusses f\u00fcr die Kirche in Afrika.<\/p>\n

\u201eDie afrikanische Kirche gibt gro\u00dfz\u00fcgig an die US-Kirche zur\u00fcck, da Tausende afrikanische Priester in den Pfarreien der Vereinigten Staaten dienen\u201c, betonte Zinkula. <\/p>\n

Der Solidarit\u00e4tsfonds<\/a> f\u00fcr die Kirche in Afrika wurde \u201eals konkrete M\u00f6glichkeit f\u00fcr Katholiken in den Vereinigten Staaten geschaffen, einen Geist der Einheit mit ihren Br\u00fcdern und Schwestern in Afrika auszudr\u00fccken\u201c, so die USCCB.<\/p>\n

Die US-Bisch\u00f6fe \u201eschufen die nationalen Kollekten, damit wir durch die B\u00fcndelung von Ressourcen unsere Mission als Katholiken effektiver erf\u00fcllen k\u00f6nnen.\u201c<\/p>\n

Der Solidarit\u00e4tsfonds unterst\u00fctzte im vergangenen Jahr fast 100 von Bisch\u00f6fen gef\u00f6rderte Projekte, darunter Friedensarbeit im S\u00fcdsudan, katechetische Ausbildung in Sambia und Workshops zur Kirchenverwaltung in Togo.<\/p>\n

Ebenfalls gef\u00f6rdert wurde die generations\u00fcbergreifende Bildung in Malawi sowie der Klimaschutz in Ostafrika, wo Pfarreien zu Zentren f\u00fcr praktisches Umweltengagement werden.<\/p>\n

Unterst\u00fctzt von Di\u00f6zesen im ganzen Land k\u00f6nnen die Gl\u00e4ubigen das ganze Jahr \u00fcber durch das #iGiveCatholicTogether-Spendenprogramm <\/a>beitragen oder an der Kollekte ihrer Pfarrei zu einem von der \u00f6rtlichen Di\u00f6zese festgelegten Termin teilnehmen.<\/p>\n
