Franz von Sales, ihr geistlicher Begleiter.<br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">Die heilige Johanna Franziska von Chantal wurde am 28. Januar 1572 in Dijon, Frankreich, geboren und starb am 13. Dezember 1641 im Heimsuchungskloster in Moulins. <\/p>\n<p>Johanna (Jeanne) wurde in den Adel hineingeboren; ihr Vater war Pr\u00e4sident des Parlaments von Burgund. Im Alter von 20 Jahren heiratete sie den Baron de Chantal. Johanna hatte vier Kinder und liebte und diente ihrer jungen Familie zutiefst, bis ihr Ehemann im Alter von 28 Jahren bei einem Jagdunfall ums Leben kam.<\/p>\n<p>Sieben Jahre lang war sie gezwungen, im Haus ihres Schwiegervaters zu leben \u2013 eine Pr\u00fcfung, die sie aufgrund seiner \u00fcblen Gesinnung ihr gegen\u00fcber geduldig ertragen musste. In dieser Zeit legte sie das Gel\u00fcbde der immerw\u00e4hrenden Keuschheit ab.<\/p>\n<p>In all ihren Gebeten bat Johanna Gott, ihr einen F\u00fchrer zu senden. In einer Vision zeigte Er ihr den geistlichen Begleiter, den Er f\u00fcr sie bereithielt. W\u00e4hrend der Fastenzeit 1604 besuchte sie ihren Vater in Dijon, wo der heilige Franz von Sales in der Sainte Chapelle predigte. Sie erkannte in ihm den geheimnisvollen Begleiter, der ihr gezeigt worden war, und stellte sich unter seine F\u00fchrung. Dann begann der ber\u00fchmte Briefwechsel zwischen den beiden Heiligen, der B\u00e4nde von Briefen zur geistlichen F\u00fchrung hervorbrachte, von denen einige heute noch erhalten sind, die meisten jedoch von ihr nach dem Tod des heiligen Franz vernichtet wurden.<\/p>\n<p>Sie ging 1610 nach Annecy, wo sie glaubte, Gott berufe sie zur Gr\u00fcndung eines Ordens f\u00fcr Frauen und M\u00e4dchen, die sich berufen f\u00fchlten, ein Leben christlicher Vollkommenheit zu f\u00fchren, ohne jedoch die strenge Askese der damaligen religi\u00f6sen Orden zu praktizieren.<\/p>\n<p>So wurde die Kongregation von der Heimsuchung Mariens am 6. Juni 1610, dem Dreifaltigkeitssonntag, in Annecy kanonisch errichtet. Die Methode der geistlichen Vollkommenheit der Visitantinnen war die des heiligen Franz, die darin bestand, den eigenen Willen stets mit dem g\u00f6ttlichen Willen vereint zu halten, die eigene Seele, das Herz und die Sehns\u00fcchte \u2013 sozusagen \u2013 in die eigenen H\u00e4nde zu nehmen und sie in Gottes Obhut zu geben, und stets danach zu streben, das zu tun, was Ihm wohlgef\u00e4llig ist. Zum Zeitpunkt ihres Todes, 31 Jahre sp\u00e4ter, gab es 86 Kl\u00f6ster der Visitantinnen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Spiritualit\u00e4t der heiligen Johanna Franziska von Chantal war stark und widerstandsf\u00e4hig; sie sah es nicht gern, wenn ihre T\u00f6chter menschlichen Schw\u00e4chen nachgaben, und ermutigte zu einem st\u00e4ndigen Kampf gegen die Leidenschaften und Gewohnheiten, die einen davon abhalten, Gottes Willen zu folgen.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>Ihre Pr\u00fcfungen waren best\u00e4ndig und wurden tapfer ertragen, und doch war sie \u00fcberaus empfindsam. Sie ertrug innere Kreuze, die sie, besonders w\u00e4hrend der letzten neun Jahre ihres Lebens, in eine Seelenqual versetzten, von der sie erst drei Monate vor ihrem Tod befreit wurde. <\/p>\n<p>Ihr Ruf der Heiligkeit war weit verbreitet.
