Ir\u00e1n<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Mehran Shamloui, un converso cristiano, ha sido <\/span>denied<\/span><\/a> un nuevo juicio para su caso por parte de la Corte Suprema de Ir\u00e1n.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shamloui fue arrestado en 2024 y <\/span>sentenciado<\/span><\/a> a 10 a\u00f1os y 8 meses de prisi\u00f3n en marzo de 2025 por participar en una iglesia en casa. Los cargos en su contra inclu\u00edan \u201cactividades de propaganda contrarias a la ley isl\u00e1mica\u201d y \u201cpertenencia a grupos que se oponen al Estado\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fue liberado de la c\u00e1rcel despu\u00e9s de pagar <\/span>bail<\/span><\/a> a finales de 2024. Huy\u00f3 del pa\u00eds e intent\u00f3 viajar a Europa, pero fue detenido en Turqu\u00eda. Fue <\/span>deported<\/span><\/a> a Ir\u00e1n en julio de 2025 porque le faltaba documentaci\u00f3n formal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shamloui actualmente est\u00e1 cumpliendo su condena en la <\/span>Evin Prison<\/span><\/a>, de Ir\u00e1n, una instituci\u00f3n <\/span>deplorable<\/span><\/a> notoriamente conocida por maltratar a sus prisioneros, incluidos los cristianos.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El Centro para los Derechos Humanos en Ir\u00e1n (CHRI), citando al Art\u00edculo 18, <\/span>inform\u00f3<\/span><\/a> en abril de 2025 que la persecuci\u00f3n cristiana en Ir\u00e1n aument\u00f3 tremendamente en 2024, con 96 cristianos recibiendo un total combinado de 263 a\u00f1os de c\u00e1rcel.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El director ejecutivo de CHRI, Hadi Ghaemi, coment\u00f3 sobre la alarmante aceleraci\u00f3n del abuso que experimentan los seguidores de Cristo en la naci\u00f3n.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLa comunidad cristiana en Ir\u00e1n se enfrenta a una crisis\u201d, declar\u00f3 Ghaemi. \u201cLas autoridades iran\u00edes est\u00e1n secuestrando a un n\u00famero creciente de cristianos y lanz\u00e1ndoles absurdos cargos de seguridad nacional para encarcelarlos durante a\u00f1os por no hacer nada m\u00e1s que practicar pac\u00edficamente su fe\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ghaemi continu\u00f3 denunciando la severa persecuci\u00f3n de Ir\u00e1n contra los cristianos en la naci\u00f3n.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
