Newsroom, Jun 27, 2025 \/ 11:41 am (CNA).<\/p>\n<p>This weekend six pro-life organizations will host a three-day-long event in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the third anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization decision in which the U.S. Supreme Court overturned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/251247\/supreme-court-roe-v-wade-dobbs-decision\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Roe v. Wade<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After a successful 2024 event, the Celebrate Life Weekend returns June 27\u201329 for three days of events that mark the anniversary of the June 24, 2022, decision and encourage \u201cthe pro-life generation to fight for equal rights for all \u2014 born and preborn \u2014 through the 14th Amendment,\u201d according to the Students for Life of America (SFLA) <a href=\"https:\/\/studentsforlife.org\/2025\/04\/24\/save-the-date-riley-gaines-joins-as-keynote-speaker-for-students-for-life-of-america-allies-national-celebrate-life-weekend-rally-gala-lauding-third\/\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">site web<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year, we mobilized the youth vote to celebrate Life after Roe v. Wade\u2019s demise,\u201d said Kristan Hawkins, president of SFLA, in a press release. \u201cNow, we\u2019re building on our momentum to create even more pro-life victories \u2014 calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood while also fighting for equal protections for preborn lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The weekend will be hosted by SFLA, Students for Life Action, Vitae Foundation, Sidewalk Advocates for Life, And Then There Were None, and Pro Love Ministries.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration kicks off Friday evening with a gala in downtown Washington, D.C. Athlete and advocate Riley Gaines will be the keynote speaker alongside other pro-life leaders who organizers say will \u201chighlight the help available for mothers and their children, born and preborn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other confirmed speakers at the gala include Hawkins; Dr. Abby Johnson, president of And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries; Lauren Muzyka, president and CEO of Sidewalk Advocates for Life; and Brandy Meeks, president and CEO of Vitae Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday a diaper drive and rally will be held on Capitol Hill. The event will feature the confirmed speakers from the gala as well as additional guests who will speak about the pro-life movement and the push \u201cto defund Planned Parenthood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/abbyjohnsonprolife\/posts\/my-organizations-and-then-there-were-none-prolife-outreach-and-prolove-ministrie\/1248884233262459\/\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">in a Facebook media post<u>,<\/u><\/a> the event will be the \u201cnation\u2019s largest diaper drive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An expected 392,715 diapers will be donated to pregnancy care centers and families in the local community. Each diaper represents \u201ca preborn life ended by Planned Parenthood last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the two events, <a href=\"https:\/\/celebratelifeconference.com\/\" target=\"null\" class=\"null\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">the National Celebrate Life Conference <\/a>will hold other gatherings for registered attendees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to \u201coffer training and strategy to rally and educate the pro-life generation, as well as key legislators.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The conference\u2019s mission is to \u201cunite pro-life women and men to celebrate, collaborate, and strategize for the protection of preborn children and to make abortion unthinkable in our culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/265053\/celebrate-life-weekend-kicks-off-in-washington-dc\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/265053\/celebrate-life-weekend-kicks-off-in-washington-dc<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anti-abortion activists participate in a Celebrate Life Day Rally at the Lincoln Memorial on June 24, 2023 in Washington, DC.
