Des agents f\u00e9d\u00e9raux enqu\u00eatent sur un acte de vandalisme dans une \u00e9glise du dioc\u00e8se de Pittsburgh, selon l'\u00e9v\u00eaque Mark Eckman.<\/p>\n

Eckman said in une d\u00e9claration du 19 juillet<\/a> que l'\u00e9glise St. Elizabeth of Hungary \u00e0 Pleasant Hills, en Pennsylvanie, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 profan\u00e9e par des \u00ab messages anti-catholiques et antis\u00e9mites \u00bb. <\/p>\n

Le vandalisme a \u00ab bless\u00e9 non seulement les fid\u00e8les de cette paroisse, mais chaque membre de notre famille dioc\u00e9saine \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l'\u00e9v\u00eaque. <\/p>\n

\u00ab Ce lieu saint, destin\u00e9 \u00e0 la pri\u00e8re, \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 et \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence mis\u00e9ricordieuse de Dieu, a \u00e9t\u00e9 viol\u00e9 d'une mani\u00e8re profond\u00e9ment douloureuse \u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9. <\/p>\n

Des agents du Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) m\u00e8nent l'enqu\u00eate sur cet incident, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 l'\u00e9v\u00eaque. <\/p>\n

Lundi, le dioc\u00e8se a publi\u00e9 des photos du vandalisme<\/a> \u00ab dans l'espoir que cela incitera quelqu'un au sein de la communaut\u00e9 \u00e0 se manifester avec des informations susceptibles d'aider les enqu\u00eateurs \u00e0 identifier les responsables \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Les images montraient une statue de la Vierge Marie tagu\u00e9e d'une \u00e9toile de David, ainsi qu'une porte marqu\u00e9e de graffitis et un mur couvert d'insultes et d'une croix gamm\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Le dioc\u00e8se est \u00ab boulevers\u00e9 par cet acte haineux \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Eckman lundi, ajoutant qu'il exhortait les fid\u00e8les \u00e0 \u00ab [prier] pour le r\u00e9confort et la paix \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Le Family Research Council a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans un rapport l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re<\/a> que le vandalisme contre les \u00e9glises \u2014 en particulier les lieux de culte catholiques \u2014 a consid\u00e9rablement augment\u00e9 aux \u00c9tats-Unis depuis 2018.<\/p>\n

Arielle Del Turco, directrice du Center for Religious Liberty du groupe, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re que \u00ab notre culture manifeste un m\u00e9pris croissant pour le christianisme et les croyances chr\u00e9tiennes fondamentales, et les actes d'hostilit\u00e9 contre les \u00e9glises pourraient en \u00eatre une manifestation physique \u00bb.<\/p>\n
