Pakistan (International Christian Concern) \u2014 <\/span><\/strong>Un pasteur presbyt\u00e9rien a surv\u00e9cu de justesse \u00e0 une tentative d'assassinat dimanche matin apr\u00e8s avoir re\u00e7u une balle \u00e0 Iqbal Town, \u00e0 Islamabad.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le pasteur Kamran Naz, responsable de l'\u00c9glise chr\u00e9tienne presbyt\u00e9rienne au Pakistan, se rendait de Gujranwala \u00e0 Islamabad vers 7 heures du matin pour diriger le culte dominical. Il \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 de sa m\u00e8re lorsque l'attaque a eu lieu.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alors qu'il arrivait \u00e0 l'arr\u00eat de bus d'Iqbal Town, deux hommes arm\u00e9s \u00e0 moto se sont approch\u00e9s<\/a>. L'un des assaillants a ouvert le feu, le touchant \u00e0 la jambe droite, tandis qu'une autre balle, visant la t\u00eate du pasteur, l'a manqu\u00e9 de peu. Les agresseurs ont imm\u00e9diatement fui les lieux.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Des t\u00e9moins oculaires ont transport\u00e9 d'urgence le pasteur bless\u00e9 \u00e0 l'Institut pakistanais des sciences m\u00e9dicales pour y \u00eatre soign\u00e9. La police a confirm\u00e9 qu'un rapport d'information initial (FIR) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pos\u00e9 et que des enqu\u00eates sont en cours. Les autorit\u00e9s s'efforcent d'identifier et d'appr\u00e9hender les suspects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le pasteur Naz aurait re\u00e7u des menaces de mort avant l'incident, pr\u00e9tendument en raison de son travail aupr\u00e8s des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s afghans. Craignant pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de sa famille, il les avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait d\u00e9m\u00e9nager d'Islamabad \u00e0 Gujranwala.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Malheureusement, de telles attaques ne sont pas des \u00e9v\u00e9nements isol\u00e9s. Les pasteurs et les dirigeants chr\u00e9tiens au Pakistan ont souvent \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 l'intimidation, au harc\u00e8lement et \u00e0 la violence en raison de leur foi et de leur travail communautaire. Malgr\u00e9 ces menaces r\u00e9currentes, la communaut\u00e9 chr\u00e9tienne a fait preuve de r\u00e9silience \u00e0 maintes reprises, restant fermement attach\u00e9e \u00e0 sa foi et poursuivant son culte.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dans le m\u00eame temps, la tendance croissante \u00e0 la violence cibl\u00e9e suscite de vives inqui\u00e9tudes. Les communaut\u00e9s religieuses soulignent qu'il ne s'agit pas seulement d'une question de libert\u00e9 religieuse, mais aussi de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 publique. Les observateurs notent que si la communaut\u00e9 chr\u00e9tienne reste in\u00e9branlable, il est grand temps que le gouvernement du Pakistan prenne des mesures plus fermes pour prot\u00e9ger ses citoyens et emp\u00eacher que de telles attaques ne deviennent routini\u00e8res.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
