Il 30 novembre, i cattolici di tutto il mondo celebrano la festa di Sant'Andrea, apostolo e martire. Pescatore di Betsaida e fratello di Simon Pietro, si dice che Sant'Andrea abbia diffuso il cristianesimo in Russia e in Asia Minore dopo la Pentecoste nel primo secolo. Fu crocifisso dai romani in Grecia su una croce a forma di X, che ora \u00e8 il suo simbolo distintivo nonch\u00e9 il simbolo della Scozia, di cui \u00e8 patrono.<\/p>\n
