According to tradition, Our Lady gave him the Rosary, commissioning him to preach this devotion as a powerful tool to teach the truths of the Gospel and convert sinners.\u00b2 While some scholars note the Rosary's gradual development before and after St. Dominic, this tradition is profoundly important, as it cemented the Rosary's connection with the Dominican Order and its mission to preach the Gospel.\u00b9\u00b2<\/p>\n<h3>\u6b74\u53f2\u3068\u6559\u7687\u306e\u627f\u8a8d\u306b\u3088\u308b\u78ba\u7acb<\/h3>\n<p>From the 12th to the 15th centuries, the Rosary's structure continued to evolve. A Carthusian monk, Dominic of Prussia, introduced the practice of associating each Hail Mary with a specific thought, or \"mystery,\" from the life of Jesus.\u2079 This was the crucial step that transformed the Rosary from a simple recitation of prayers into the meditative journey we know today.<\/p>\n<p>The Rosary's place in the heart of the Church was forever solidified on October 7, 1571. A massive fleet from the Ottoman Empire threatened to invade Christian Europe. Pope St. Pius V called upon all of Christendom to pray the Rosary and ask for the Virgin Mary's intercession under the title \"Our Lady of Victory.\" Against all odds, the smaller Christian fleet won a decisive victory at the Battle of Lepanto.\u00b9\u00b3 In gratitude, the Pope established the Feast of the Holy Rosary on October 7th, a day the Church still celebrates.\u00b9\u00b3<\/p>\n<p>This event marked a turning point.
