The Christian New Year celebration on Jan. 6 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, was rejected and disrupted by the radical organization PASS (Defenders of Ahlus Sunnah).<\/p>\n

De organisatie protested<\/a> the implementation of a Christian Spiritual Revival Service (KKR) led by Pastor Stephen Tong on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Bandung.<\/p>\n

A week earlier, on Dec. 29, 2025, a letter had circulated rejecting the KKR scheduled for Jan. 6, citing propaganda aimed at converting Muslims. However, the church insisted on its right to worship, and the service proceeded.<\/p>\n

During the service, these Islamic organizations blokkeerde<\/a> the road and confronted the congregation, which led to a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere.<\/p>\n

A group of these organizations approached the area, demonstrating and causing a commotion with loudspeakers. The congregation, however, continued to worship in an orderly manner despite threats of intimidation.<\/p>\n
