A comiss\u00e3o permanente da Confer\u00eancia Episcopal Espanhola (CEE) aprovou a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um departamento para as rela\u00e7\u00f5es com o Isl\u00e3o, destinado a responder ao crescimento da popula\u00e7\u00e3o mu\u00e7ulmana no pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Este novo organismo faz parte da Subcomiss\u00e3o Episcopal para as Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Interconfessionais e o Di\u00e1logo Inter-religioso, presidida pelo bispo auxiliar de Sevilha, Ram\u00f3n Dar\u00edo Valdivia.<\/p>\n

O porta-voz da CEE, o bispo Francisco C\u00e9sar Garc\u00eda Mag\u00e1n, declarou aos meios de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o que a miss\u00e3o do novo departamento \u00e9 \u201cresponder aos desafios pastorais colocados pela crescente presen\u00e7a de fi\u00e9is mu\u00e7ulmanos em Espanha\u201d.<\/p>\n

Entre estes desafios est\u00e3o o apoio aos c\u00f4njuges em casamentos mistos e a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de sacerdotes, seminaristas e leigos para um di\u00e1logo pertinente. Garc\u00eda observou que os bispos est\u00e3o \u201cconscientes da necessidade de pessoal formado nesta \u00e1rea\u201d e que sacerdotes t\u00eam sido formados para este fim no Instituto Pontif\u00edcio de Estudos \u00c1rabes e Isl\u00e2micos em Roma.<\/p>\n

O departamento para o di\u00e1logo com o mundo mu\u00e7ulmano desenvolver\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m materiais catequ\u00e9ticos para convertidos ao cristianismo vindos do Isl\u00e3o e procurar\u00e1 promover \u201co refor\u00e7o das rela\u00e7\u00f5es institucionais com grupos isl\u00e2micos\u201d.<\/p>\n

Este tipo de organiza\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9 novo na Europa. Como notou Mag\u00e1n, as confer\u00eancias episcopais de Fran\u00e7a e It\u00e1lia tamb\u00e9m possuem tais estruturas e produziram um corpo significativo de trabalho doutrinal.<\/p>\n

2,5 milh\u00f5es de mu\u00e7ulmanos em Espanha<\/h2>\n

A Uni\u00e3o das Comunidades Isl\u00e2micas de Espanha (UCIDE) estima no seu relat\u00f3rio anual de 2024 que vivem no pa\u00eds aproximadamente 2,5 milh\u00f5es de mu\u00e7ulmanos, representando cerca de 5% da popula\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Segundo a mesma fonte, a maioria dos mu\u00e7ulmanos s\u00e3o cidad\u00e3os espanh\u00f3is, por nascimento ou naturaliza\u00e7\u00e3o (aproximadamente 600.000 naturalizados em 56 anos), seguidos por marroquinos, paquistaneses, senegaleses e argelinos. Os munic\u00edpios com as maiores popula\u00e7\u00f5es mu\u00e7ulmanas s\u00e3o Barcelona, Ceuta, Madrid e Melilla, seguidos por El Ejido (Almer\u00eda) e M\u00farcia. Ceuta e Melilla s\u00e3o cidades aut\u00f3nomas espanholas na costa marroquina, no Norte de \u00c1frica.<\/p>\n

Esta presen\u00e7a resultou tamb\u00e9m num n\u00famero crescente de estudantes a estudar a religi\u00e3o isl\u00e2mica a cada ano, excedendo os 390.000 desde que o curr\u00edculo para a disciplina foi publicado em 1996. Este programa conta com mais de 300 professores, mais de um ter\u00e7o dos quais baseados na Andaluzia, a zona mais a sul da Espanha peninsular.<\/p>\n

As escolas espanholas s\u00e3o obrigadas por lei a oferecer cursos de religi\u00e3o, embora seja opcional para o aluno frequentar a aula. <\/p>\n

A comunidade isl\u00e2mica do pa\u00eds inclui tamb\u00e9m um im\u00e3 militar (semelhante a um capel\u00e3o) que presta assist\u00eancia aos reclusos na pris\u00e3o militar de Madrid; cinco im\u00e3s que prestam assist\u00eancia em hospitais e centros de deten\u00e7\u00e3o para estrangeiros e menores; e 11 im\u00e3s prisionais que servem em pris\u00f5es na Catalunha, Madrid e Val\u00eancia, nas Ilhas Can\u00e1rias, Ceuta, Melilla e no Pa\u00eds Basco.<\/p>\n
