Cerca de 70 residentes visitaram a Igreja HKBP Kulim Jaya em Riau, na Indon\u00e9sia, a 25 de fevereiro, para exigir a paragem das suas renova\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

Twenty locals entered<\/a> a igreja e solicitaram licen\u00e7as, expressando preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a legalidade da constru\u00e7\u00e3o. Armien, o l\u00edder do Distrito de Lubuk Batu Jaya, confirmaram<\/a> o confronto e disse que iria mediar entre a igreja, o F\u00f3rum de Harmonia Inter-religiosa (FKUB) do subdistrito e os residentes para resolver a disputa sobre a renova\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Entretanto, o Pastor da Igreja HKBP, Faber Manurung, observou que o chefe do subdistrito e o chefe da pol\u00edcia de Lubuk Batu Jaya testemunharam os residentes a proibir e a for\u00e7ar a HKBP Kulim Jaya a interromper a renova\u00e7\u00e3o da igreja.<\/p>\n

A Igreja HKBP, que tem uma congrega\u00e7\u00e3o de 200 pessoas, planeou renovar o edif\u00edcio da igreja porque este se encontrava em m\u00e1s condi\u00e7\u00f5es desde 2010 e j\u00e1 n\u00e3o era adequado para utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o. A renovations<\/a> inclu\u00eda a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nova funda\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

\u201cCom as t\u00e1buas da igreja a apodrecer e a desfazer-se, o telhado a verter e o seu estado completamente impr\u00f3prio e desconfort\u00e1vel para o culto, decidimos em fevereiro deste ano renovar o edif\u00edcio da HKBP Kulim Jaya\u201d, explicou.<\/p>\n

Tais protestos s\u00e3o comuns na Indon\u00e9sia, onde grupos isl\u00e2micos desafiam frequentemente a construction <\/a>de novos edif\u00edcios de igrejas. Os mu\u00e7ulmanos tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam prevented<\/a> igrejas de realizar cultos.<\/p>\n

O Pastor Faber explicou que a HKBP Kulim Jaya, estabelecida em 1995, est\u00e1 oficialmente registada no Minist\u00e9rio dos Assuntos Religiosos da Rep\u00fablica da Indon\u00e9sia e j\u00e1 possui um certificado de propriedade de terras emitido pela Ag\u00eancia Nacional de Terras (BPN).<\/p>\n

\u201cPortanto\u201d, disse ele, \u201cesperamos que o governo e os funcion\u00e1rios no Distrito de Lubuk Batu Jaya e na Reg\u00eancia de Indragiri Hulu facilitem a renova\u00e7\u00e3o e constru\u00e7\u00e3o da igreja HKBP Kulim Jaya, o que \u00e9 o nosso direito.\u201d<\/p>\n
