The New Testament word is porneia, which the King James Version translates &quot;fornication,&quot; and it covers adultery, sex before marriage, incest and prostitution. Sex within marriage is not immoral, and the letters that warn against porneia also promise forgiveness for it. You can see both in a single chapter.
