A video circulating on social media shows the moment of the explosion.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/i\/web\/status\/2081571381892796535?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2081571381892796535%7Ctwgr%5E0c7f72a5a88df4651e8ca6465181e2ab4e1ed658%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.aciprensa.com%2Fnoticias%2F127189%2Fsemana-oracion-victimas-explosion-pirotecnia-guerrero-mexico\">\u63a8\u6587<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to the media outlet El Horizonte, the explosion killed three women, including a young woman who was eight months pregnant. Some victims suffered severe burns, including minors who required specialized care.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1842707980496981\">Speaking to the media <\/a>on July 26, Francisco Rodr\u00edguez Cisneros, Guerrero state\u2019s undersecretary for political and social development, explained that the incident occurred because those responsible for the fireworks display \u201cfailed to keep them at a safe distance from where they were being used.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the official, a rocket was propelled toward the area where the fireworks were stored, triggering the explosion.
