Shield them from fatigue and burnout. Give them wisdom beyond their own knowledge, so that they may be Your hands and feet in the healing process for my friend, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
By praying for the medical team, we partner with them in our friend’s care. We ask God to empower them to do their very best work. Proverbs 3:5-6 is a wonderful guide: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Protect their own health as they care for my friend. Give them unity and grace in their communication and decision-making. Bind them together in love, so they can be a strong support system.
Surround this entire family with Your love and comfort. Let them feel the support of their community and, most importantly, the unwavering support of Your presence with them, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Caring for the caregivers is a beautiful act of love and is essential for the patient’s well-being. It recognizes the ripple effect of illness. A comforting verse is 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christus, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Lord, fill my friend’s heart with gratitude as well. Help them to see the blessings that still surround them and to hold onto the wonderful truth that they are deeply loved, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
