Children

Lesson 10 of 15 · About 13 minutes

Children

Are we open to children, and when, and how?

Every church asks a married couple to be open to children and leaves the timing to them; the churches differ on how you may space children, so learn your own church’s teaching and decide together before the wedding, and if children are slow to come or a pregnancy is lost, face it together with good care.

Joseph, seated in a brown cloak, holds the small Jesus, who lifts a bird out of reach of a begging white dog, while Mary looks up from her winding and a basket of linen sits on the floor.
