Dutch Prayer for Peace When I Feel Anxious
When worry fills your mind and fear makes your heart race, it can feel impossible to find calm. This prayer is a way to hand over those heavy feelings to God, asking for His divine peace to settle over you.
天父，
My mind is rushing with anxious thoughts, and my spirit feels heavy with worry. I feel overwhelmed by the “what ifs” and the fear of the unknown. It feels like a storm is raging inside of me, and I can’t find a place of rest. I confess that I am trying to carry this burden all by myself, and I am failing.
I come to You now, asking for Your peace that is beyond all understanding. Please quiet the storm in my soul. Help me to loosen my grip on the problems I cannot solve and place them firmly in Your loving hands. Remind me that You are in control and that nothing can happen apart from Your knowledge.
Help me to breathe deeply and trust that You are with me in this moment. Replace my fear with faith, my anxiety with tranquility, and my worry with worship. Let me feel Your presence surrounding me like a warm blanket, guarding my heart and mind. I choose to focus on Your goodness and Your power instead of my fears, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Remember that God’s peace is not the absence of problems, but the presence of God in the middle of them. As it says in Philippians 4:7, His peace “will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer for Guidance When I Don’t Know the Way
Life often presents us with crossroads where we don’t know which path to take. In these moments of confusion, we can ask God to be our guide, to light up the next step and give us clarity.

I am standing at a crossroads and I honestly do not know which way to go. The path ahead is foggy, and I am afraid of making the wrong choice. My own wisdom feels so small, and I am tempted to just stand still for fear of taking a wrong step. I need Your divine direction.
a I ask that You would be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Please quiet all the other voices—the voice of fear, the voice of other people’s opinions, and the voice of my own doubt—so that I can hear Your still, small voice with clarity. Make Your will for my life obvious to me. Open the doors that You want me to walk through and firmly shut the ones that are not for me.
I surrender my own plans and my own desires to You. I trust that Your way is perfect, even if I cannot see the full picture right now. Give me the courage to take the next step in faith, trusting that You are leading me exactly where I need to be, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
You don’t have to have the whole map figured out. Your job is to trust the Guide. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and he will make your paths straight.”
Prayer for Provision When I Am in Need
Worrying about money, bills, or having enough to get by can steal our joy and peace. This prayer is an honest plea to God, our Provider, trusting that He sees our needs and cares for us deeply.
天父，
You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. Right now, my heart is heavy with financial worry. I am looking at my situation, and from my point of view, there is not enough. The stress of this need is weighing on me, and I confess that I am scared.
I lay this burden at Your feet. I trust that You own everything and that You care for me more than the birds of the air, who You faithfully feed. Please provide for my needs according to Your riches and glory. Give me wisdom to be a good steward of what I already have, and please open up doors for provision in ways I cannot imagine.
Help me to trust in Your timing and Your methods. Take away this spirit of fear and replace it with a spirit of faith and gratitude. Thank you for all the times You have provided for me in the past. I choose to believe that You will be faithful once again, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
God’s love for you is personal and practical. He knows what you need. Jesus says in Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds of the air… your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

You are the Great Physician, and nothing is impossible for You. I come to You today broken and in need of Your healing touch. My body is weak, my spirit is hurting, and I feel worn out. This trial is more than I can bear on my own, and I need Your supernatural strength to get through it.
Please touch the areas of my life that are sick and broken. Bring healing to my body, peace to my mind, and comfort to my emotions. If this is a sickness I must endure for a season, please give me the grace and strength to walk through it with courage and hope, knowing that You are with me.
Let me feel Your presence close by. Fill me with a strength that does not come from me, but comes directly from You. Help me to rest in Your care and trust in Your plan for my ultimate good and my complete wholeness, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Even when healing doesn’t look the way we expect, God promises to give us the strength to endure. As it says in Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.”

Forgiveness is at the heart of mending what is broken. We are called to “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:13).
Prayer for Strength When I Feel Overwhelmed
Sometimes life feels like too much. The demands, the pressures, and the responsibilities pile up until we feel crushed. This prayer is a cry for God’s strength to hold us up when we feel like we are about to fall.

Remind me that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Let me not be ashamed of my limits, but let them be an opportunity for You to show Yourself strong on my behalf. Carry me through this day, Lord, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
It is okay to be weak, because it’s in our weakness that God’s strength is most visible. He promises in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Choosing to forgive is one of the most powerful things we can do for our own souls. It sets us free. As Ephesians 4:32 instructs us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Prayer for Trust in Your Plan for My Future
The future can seem like a great, scary unknown. It’s natural to worry about what lies ahead for us and our families. This prayer is about surrendering that anxiety and placing our trust in the One who holds the future.
God who holds all my tomorrows,
I confess that I am anxious about the future. I worry about my health, my family, my finances, and so many things I cannot control. The uncertainty makes me feel insecure and afraid. I am trying to plan for every possibility, and it is exhausting me.
Today, I choose to surrender my future to You. I believe that You have a plan for my life—a plan that is for my good and for Your glory. Help me to trust that You know what is best, even when I don’t understand what You are doing. Calm my need to control everything.
Help me to live fully in today, knowing that You are already in my tomorrow. Give me faith to believe in Your promises and to rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for my good. I place my hope and my future in Your hands, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
When we feel anxious about what is to come, we can find comfort in knowing who holds it all. As God says in Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Prayer for Calm in the Middle of a Storm
Life is not always peaceful. Sometimes we find ourselves in the middle of a chaotic situation—a “storm”—that threatens to sink us. This prayer is a plea for God’s calming presence right in the center of the chaos.
Jesus, Master of the sea,
I feel like I am in a boat being tossed around by a violent storm. The winds of chaos are blowing, the waves of crisis are crashing over me, and I am terrified. It feels like everything is out of control, and I am moments away from sinking under the pressure.
Just as You calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee with a single command, I ask You to speak “Peace, be still” over my situation and over my heart. Even if the storm around me continues to rage, I ask that You would create an unshakable calm inside of me.
Be my anchor in this chaos. Help me to fix my eyes on You, the one who walks on water, instead of on the terrifying waves around me. Let Your presence be my shelter and my peace, reminding me that You are with me in the boat, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Even in the most frightening storms of life, Jesus is with us. Just as He asked his disciples, He asks us, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mark 4:40). His presence is our peace.
Prayer for Protection Over My Loved Ones
One of our deepest instincts is to want to protect the people we love. But we know we can’t be with them always. This prayer entrusts our family and friends into God’s powerful and loving hands for His divine protection.
Almighty God, my Shield and Defender,
My heart is filled with love for my family and friends, and with that love comes a deep desire to see them safe. I cannot be everywhere at once to protect them, and this knowledge makes me anxious. I know that only You can be their ultimate protector.
So I lift them up to You now. I ask that You would place a hedge of protection around each one of them. Guard them from physical harm, from sickness, and from the spiritual attacks of the enemy. Protect their minds from fear and their hearts from despair.
Guide their steps and keep them from danger. Send Your angels to watch over them in all their ways. May they feel Your presence and know that they are safe in Your care. I entrust my most precious treasures—my loved ones—to You, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Placing our loved ones in God’s care is an act of faith and love. We can rest in the promise of Psalm 91:11, which says, “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
Prayer for Courage to Not Give Up
When a struggle goes on for a long time, it’s easy to lose hope and feel like giving up. This prayer is for a fresh dose of divine courage and perseverance to keep going, even when we feel like we can’t take another step.
Lord, the Author and Perfecter of my faith,
I am so tired. I have been fighting this battle for a long time, and I feel like I have nothing left. The thought of giving up is tempting because the struggle seems endless. My hope is running low, and my spirit is weary.
I am asking you for the courage to keep going. Please renew my strength. Remind me of why I started this journey and give me a vision of the victory that is on the other side. Help me to not grow weary in doing good.
When I want to quit, remind me that You have not quit on me. Let me draw my strength from You, not from my own limited supply. Help me to take just one more step, and then one more after that, knowing that You are walking right beside me, holding me up, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
God promises to be with us and to renew our strength when we wait on Him. Isaiah 40:31 offers this beautiful promise: “…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.”
Prayer for Comfort When I Feel Alone
Loneliness can be one of the most painful human emotions, making us feel isolated and forgotten. This prayer is a reach for the God who promises to never leave us or forsake us, asking for the comfort of His presence.
天父，
The feeling of loneliness is a deep ache in my soul. I feel unseen, unheard, and disconnected from everyone around me. It feels like no one understands what I am going through, and I am completely on my own in this struggle. The silence is deafening.
But Your word says You are a “father to the fatherless” and that You place the lonely in families. I ask that You would draw near to me now. Let me feel Your presence in a real and tangible way. Comfort my aching heart and quiet my fears with Your perfect love.
Please remind me that I am never truly alone because You are always with me. Help me to know, in the deepest part of my being, that I am seen, known, and loved by You. Please also lead me to a community or a friend who can be Your hands and feet to me, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Even in our most isolated moments, God is there. He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother. We can hold onto His promise in Deuteronomy 31:8: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
