السلامة هي طريقة أخرى يمكننا بها إظهار المحبة في الهالوين. فكروا في استضافة فعالية "صندوق الحلوى" في مكان آمن للعائلات التي قد لا تشعر بالراحة في الذهاب من باب إلى باب. اعرضوا مرافقة الجيران المسنين الذين يرغبون في المشاركة ولكنهم يحتاجون إلى المساعدة. تأكدوا من أن ممتلكاتكم مضاءة جيداً وخالية من المخاطر للزوار.
بالنسبة لأولئك الذين يختارون عدم المشاركة مباشرة في أنشطة الهالوين، لا تزال هناك طرق لإظهار المحبة. ربما التطوع في فعالية مجتمعية أو ملجأ محلي في تلك الليلة. أو استخدموا المناسبة لدعوة الجيران لتناول وجبة، وبناء علاقات يمكن أن تمتد إلى ما بعد أمسية واحدة فقط.
تذكروا، أيها الإخوة والأخوات الأعزاء، أن هدفنا ليس الحكم أو الإدانة، بل أن نكون نوراً في مجتمعاتنا. من خلال التعامل مع الهالوين بالإبداع والانفتاح والرعاية الحقيقية للآخرين، لدينا فرصة لبناء الجسور ومشاركة محبة المسيح بطرق ملموسة.
لنصلِّ من أجل الحكمة والتمييز بينما نسعى للتعامل مع هذه اللحظة الثقافية. لتكن أفعالنا موجهة بالمحبة، ولتكن كلماتنا مملحة بالنعمة، ولتكن بيوتنا منارات لنور المسيح في الهالوين وفي كل يوم.
