Lesson 13 of 15 · About 13 minutes
The Vows
What exactly will we promise, and what does each line mean?
Each of you takes the other, aloud and from that day on, for better or worse and for life, to love and to cherish under God, and pledges your word on it; Catholics give this consent in their own rite’s words, Orthodox Christians are crowned without a spoken vow, and any vows you write should keep the same promises.
