Résumé
- Le Carême est une période de 40 jours dans le calendrier chrétien dédiée au renouveau spirituel et à la préparation avant Pâques, commençant le mercredi des Cendres et se terminant le samedi saint.
- De nombreuses dénominations protestantes ont des approches variées du Carême ; certaines, comme les anglicans et les luthériens, l'observent de manière traditionnelle, tandis que d'autres, comme les baptistes, l'adaptent ou ne l'observent pas du tout.
- Les pratiques de Carême protestantes se concentrent souvent sur la prière, l'étude de la Bible, le jeûne des distractions et les actes de service, avec une flexibilité dans l'observance individuelle.
- Certains protestants critiquent le Carême par crainte d'un salut par les œuvres et d'un manque de mandat scripturaire, mais d'autres y voient une opportunité de croissance spirituelle et de réflexion.
