These terms are the rules for using christianpure.com and what you agree to when you create an account, become a member, give a donation, or post in our community. By using the site, you accept these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.
Christian Pure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization at 61 Hamilton Pl, Oakland, CA 94612. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Christian Pure, and “you” means the person using the site. Our Politique de confidentialité explains how we collect and use personal information.
Reading Christian Pure
Anyone can read Christian Pure without paying. Readers without a membership can open a limited number of articles each month, currently five, and the site tells you when you reach that limit. We may change that number and which articles it covers. Readers without a membership see ads from our advertising partners; members read without ads.
Our articles offer Christian teaching and general guidance. They are not medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice, so please take questions about your own situation to a qualified professional or your pastor. If you or someone near you is in danger, call your local emergency number. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Your account
You need an account to become a member or to join our community. You must be at least 13 years old to create one. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and make any purchase.
Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. A membership is for one person, so please do not share your login.
Adhésion
A membership gives you the benefits listed on our membership page when you join. Today those benefits are unlimited ad-free reading across Christian Pure and 10% off eligible Christian Pure products, courses, and merchandise. Members may also receive access to member spaces in our community and to member courses. Monthly and annual memberships include the same benefits.
Membership costs $5.99 a month or $49.99 a year, in US dollars, and the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Stripe processes membership payments for us, and we do not see or store your full card number.
Your membership renews automatically. At the end of each month or year, we charge the payment method on file for the next period at the current membership price, and we keep doing so until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from Mon compte. After you cancel, you will not be charged again, and your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except under the 30-day guarantee below.
A discount on your first payment, such as a reader discount, applies only to that payment. Renewals are charged at the regular price.
If a renewal payment fails, your membership stays active for a 7-day grace period while you update your payment method in My Account. If the payment has not gone through by the end of the grace period, member access pauses until the payment is made, and the membership may end if it never is.
If we raise the membership price, we will email members at least 30 days before the new price applies to their renewal, so you can cancel first if you choose. If we remove a benefit listed on the membership page, we will tell members by email.
Your personal discount code for the Christian Pure shop is for your own use and works only while your membership is active.
Refunds and the 30-day guarantee
Membership comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, Contactez-nous within 30 days of your first membership payment and we will refund that payment in full, with no questions asked. Annual members may also ask for a full refund within 30 days of an annual renewal charge.
When we refund a membership payment, member access ends right away and we cancel the membership so it does not renew. Refunds go back to the original payment method, and your bank may take several business days to show the credit.
Outside the guarantee, membership payments are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we made a billing mistake. If you think you were charged in error, contact us and we will look into it.
Donations
Donations made through our page de dons are gifts to support our work. A donation does not buy a membership or any member benefit, and a membership payment is not a donation. A separate giving platform processes donations, and its terms also apply. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. If you gave by mistake, such as a duplicate gift or the wrong amount, contact us within 30 days and we will work with you to correct it.
Community posts, comments, and prayer requests
You keep ownership of what you post in our community or in comments. By posting it, you give us permission to store, display, translate, and share it on Christian Pure so the community can work, and to shorten, reformat, or remove it. This permission ends when you delete the post or your account. Copies that other people have already shared, and records the law requires us to keep, may remain.
In the community and in comments, do not post anything that:
- harasses, threatens, or demeans another person
- is sexual, violent, hateful, or illegal
- shares someone else’s private information without their consent
- pretends to be someone else or misleads people about who you are
- advertises, spams, or asks other members for money
- copies material you do not have the right to share
We may remove posts and suspend accounts that break these rules. We do not review every post before it appears, and a member’s post expresses that member’s views, not ours.
Prayer requests sent through our forms go privately to our team and are not posted on the site. Please do not include private details about other people.
Our content
Christian Pure owns the articles, prayers, Bible studies, courses, images, and design on this site, or uses them with permission. Material that belongs to others, including Scripture translations, remains the property of its owners.
You may read, print, and save our content for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may share links and short quotations with credit to Christian Pure. Without our written permission, you may not republish whole articles, sell or redistribute our content, scrape or bulk-download the site, or use our content to train artificial intelligence models. You also may not try to get around membership limits, access accounts or systems that are not yours, or disrupt the site.
Other services and links
Some parts of Christian Pure rely on other companies. Stripe processes membership payments, a giving platform processes donations, and our shop and the Halo app for families may have their own terms and policies, which apply to those services. Our articles also link to other websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Closing an account
You can stop using Christian Pure at any time. To close your account, cancel any membership in My Account, then contact us and ask us to delete the account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the site at risk. If we close a paid membership for that reason, we do not refund the rest of the period. If we close a paid membership for any other reason, or stop offering memberships, we will refund the unused part of your current period.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and if a change materially affects members, we will email members before it takes effect. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
We provide the site and memberships “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including implied promises that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suited to a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Christian Pure is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, that come from your use of the site. If we are found liable for any claim about the site or your membership, the most we will owe is $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is more. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
If you break these terms, or post something that leads to a claim against Christian Pure, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs that result.
Disputes and governing law
California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. If we cannot, either of us may bring the claim in the state or federal courts in Alameda County, California, and we both agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. You may also bring an eligible claim in small claims court. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
Other legal terms
These terms, our Privacy Policy, and any terms shown at checkout make up the whole agreement between you and Christian Pure about the site. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. If a translated version of these terms differs from the English version, the English version controls.
