22 Bible Verses About Community

  • Jesus makes love for one another, “just as I have loved you,” the sign by which people will know his disciples (John 13:34-35).
  • Acts 2:42 lists four things the first believers devoted themselves to: the apostles’ teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread and the prayers.
  • In Acts 2:44-45 the proceeds of sold property went “to all, as any had need,” and Acts 4:34 records that “there was not a needy person among them.”

The Bible describes the community of believers as one body and one household, whose members love, carry, correct and forgive one another. Psalm 133:1 praises brothers who “dwell in unity”.
