Please forgive me for comparing myself to others. Help me to stop looking at their lives and start focusing on the unique path you have laid out for me. Remove this root of bitterness from my soul and teach me true contentment. Open my eyes to see the countless blessings you have already poured out upon me. Help me to develop a heart of gratitude for my health, my relationships, and my salvation.

I choose right now to give these worries to you. I release my grip on the things I cannot control and place them in Your powerful and loving hands. I know that You did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I ask for that sound mind right now. Quiet the storm inside of me, Lord. Let your perfect peace, which is beyond all understanding, guard my heart and my mind.

Forgive me for the pride that swells in my heart, making me think my successes are my own doing. Forgive me for looking down on others, for wanting to be right all the time, and for seeking praise for myself.
Lord, expose the pride in my life. Help me see it for the ugly sin it is. Crush my arrogance and replace it with a spirit of genuine humility. Heavenly Father, my Potter, I present myself to you as a lump of clay. I am tired of my old ways of thinking—my patterns of fear, selfishness, negativity, and impurity.
