概要

  • ギリシャ語の新約聖書において、「信じる」（ピステウオー) ）と「信仰」（ピスティス) ）は同じ語源から来ています。
  • 創世記15章6節の「彼は主を信じた。主はそれを彼の義と認められた」という言葉は、パウロ（ローマ4:3）とヤコブ（ヤコブ2:23）の両方によって引用されています。
  • ヨハネによる福音書20章31節には、この福音書が書かれた目的は、読者がイエスこそキリストであると信じ、その名によって命を得るためであると記されています。
  • ヤコブの手紙2章19節は、「神は唯一である」と信じることは正しいと認めつつ、悪魔たちもそれを信じていると付け加えています。
