Before we even type a single word of our leave application, it’s wise to ask God for help. This prayer asks for a clear mind and honest words, so our request is written respectfully and truthfully from a calm heart.

Father God, the waiting is difficult. Now that my request is submitted, my mind is tempted to fill with worry and “what-ifs.” I surrender this anxiety to You and ask for Your perfect peace to flood my soul. Help me to be patient and to trust in Your sovereign timing and plan.

Waiting is an act of faith, and God promises to give us peace in the middle of it. Even in disappointment, our faith can grow stronger as we trust in God’s sovereignty. He can use every situation for our good and His glory.
