Henry não está na Bíblia — Significa “governante do lar”

  • Henrique não está na Bíblia. É germânico — Heimirich, de heim (“lar”) e rih (“governante”) — um governante de uma casa, em vez de um país.
  • Oito reis da Inglaterra ostentaram este nome, terminando com Henrique VIII.
  • O teste de Paulo para um líder da igreja coloca o lar em primeiro lugar: “Pois, se alguém não sabe governar a sua própria casa, como cuidará da igreja de Deus?” (1 Timóteo 3:5).
  • Henrique VIII governou a Inglaterra com enorme energia, passou por seis casamentos, executou duas esposas e deixou um lar que ninguém chamaria de bem governado.
