圣经中没有关于死鸟的梦的记载，也没有赋予其任何含义。
法老的膳长梦见鸟儿在篮子里啄食，约瑟告诉他这意味着死亡——但约瑟说解梦权属于上帝，而且这只是针对一个人的一次性启示（创世记 40 章）。
耶稣选择坠落的麻雀作为上帝关注的意象：“若是你们的父不许，一个也不能掉在地上”（马太福音 10:29）。
