  • يطرح المزمور 42 سؤال "لماذا أنتِ منحنية يا نفسي؟" في الآيتين 5 و11، ويكرر المزمور 43:5 السؤال نفسه.
  • طلب إيليا الموت تحت شجرة رتم (1 ملوك 19:4)، فأيقظه ملاك مرتين وأمره أن يأكل.
  • المزمور 88 هو صلاة تنتهي بعبارة "صارت رفاقي ظلمة" ولا تسجل أي إجابة.
  • يقول بولس إنه في آسيا "يئسنا من الحياة أيضاً" (2 كورنثوس 1:8)، بعد أن بارك "إله كل تعزية" في الآية 1:3.
