概要

  • 牧師感謝の祈りとは、牧師の説教、ケア、長年の働きに対して神に感謝を捧げ、牧師とその家族が祝福されるよう神に願うものです。
  • 新約聖書は教会に対し、指導者を敬うよう求めています。「あなたがたを指導した人たちのことを思い起こしなさい」（ヘブル人への手紙13章7節）とあり、テサロニケ人への手紙第一5章12-13節やテモテへの手紙第一5章17節にも同様の教えがあります。
  • 「牧師感謝月間」は「フォーカス・オン・ザ・ファミリー」によって命名され、1994年から推進が始まりました。10月、あるいは単一の週末を希望する教会のために10月の第2週末が推奨されています。
  • 12の祈りのうち4つは最初から最後まで感謝を捧げる内容で、日曜日やカードに最適です。残りの8つは、一年を通して牧師を助け、強めてくださるよう神に願うものです。
  • カードには、フィリピ人への手紙1章3節、民数記6章24-26節で神がアロンとその子らに与えた祝福、あるいはローマ人への手紙15章13節などが、1〜2行で収まり適しています。
  • これらの祈りは牧師を「彼ら（them/their）」と呼ぶ形式で書かれているため、男性牧師にも女性牧師にも適しています。
