16 Bible Verses About Dedication

  • The Hebrew verb chanak is used for Solomon’s dedication of the temple (1 Kings 8:63), for dedicating a new house (Deuteronomy 20:5) and for starting a child off in Proverbs 22:6.
  • The Nazirite vow of dedication in Numbers 6 was open to a man or woman, lasted a set period, and treated uncut hair as “the symbol of their dedication to God.”
