Prayers for Trusting God: Psalms, Traditional Prayers and Prayers for Hard Moments

  • The Psalms supply ready prayers of trust, including Psalm 56:3, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee,” and Psalm 31:15, “My times are in thy hand.”
  • The 1928 Book of Common Prayer has a family prayer “For Trustfulness,” the collect “O God, the protector of all that trust in thee,” and the Te Deum’s last line, “O Lord, in thee have I trusted.”
