In the Bible, morning is an hour for prayer and praise, and a picture of relief after a night of trouble. Jesus prays before daylight in Mark 1:35, and Lamentations 3:22-23 says the Lord’s compassions “are new every morning”. Psalm 5:3 lays requests before God “in the morning”, and Psalm 30:5 sets weeping in the night against rejoicing in the morning.
