  • Ecclesiaste 3:1-8 elenca tempi contrapposti, dal nascere e morire alla guerra e alla pace, e il versetto 3:11 afferma che Dio ha reso ogni cosa bella al suo tempo, mettendo l'eternità nel cuore dell'uomo.
  • Il Salmo 90 pone Dio “da eternità a eternità” accanto a una vita umana di settanta o ottant'anni che passa rapidamente, e chiede a Dio di “insegnarci a contare i nostri giorni”.
