概要

  • 聖書において数字の200には割り当てられた意味はありません。登場する箇所では、単に数を数えています。
  • 聖書は7、40、12といった数字を意味を持って用いることがありますが、それは常に公然と、テキストが確立し繰り返すパターンの中で行われます。
  • アブサロムは毎年自分の髪を量り、「王の標準で200シェケル」あったと記されています（サムエル記下14章26節）。語り手は、反逆を企て、後に頭が樫の木に引っかかることになる男の虚栄心を記録しています。
  • ピリポは、200デナリオン（半年分以上の賃金）があっても、一人ひとりに一口ずつ行き渡らせることはできないと計算します（ヨハネによる福音書6章7節）。彼の算術は正しく、彼はまもなく寛大さによって恥をかくことになります。

The number 200 has no assigned meaning in the Bible. No verse attaches a significance to it, and Scripture builds no pattern on it.
