What is Intercessory Prayer? At its simplest, intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of other people.¹ It is a conversation with God where the focus is not on our own needs, but on the needs of another. Yet, to leave the definition there would be like describing a marriage as merely a legal contract.
