  • Não existe nenhum irmão gémeo de Lúcifer na Bíblia, nem irmão de qualquer tipo, e no texto hebraico também não existe Lúcifer.
  • Isaías 14:12 dirige-se à “estrela da manhã, filho da alva” dentro de uma sátira que o texto aponta ao rei da Babilónia (14:4). A Vulgata Latina traduziu a frase lucifer, e os leitores ingleses consolidaram-na como um nome.
  • As Escrituras não dizem quase nada sobre a origem de Satanás: Lucas 10:18, Apocalipse 12:7-9 e Judas 6 resumem-se a algumas frases.
  • A questão surge frequentemente do ensino dos Santos dos Últimos Dias de que todos os espíritos são filhos de Deus, tornando Jesus e Lúcifer irmãos espirituais. O Cristianismo histórico rejeita essa estrutura — o Credo Niceno diz que o Filho é gerado, não criado, enquanto os anjos são criados.
