概要
- There is no twin brother of Lucifer in the Bible, no brother of any kind, and in the Hebrew text no Lucifer either.
- Isaiah 14:12 addresses the “morning star, son of the dawn” inside a taunt the text aims at the king of Babylon (14:4). The Latin Vulgate rendered the phrase ルシファー, and English readers hardened it into a name.
- Scripture says almost nothing about Satan’s origin: Luke 10:18, Revelation 12:7-9 and Jude 6 amount to a few sentences.
- The question often comes from Latter-day Saint teaching that all spirits are children of God, making Jesus and Lucifer spirit brothers. Historic Christianity rejects the framework — the Nicene Creed says the Son is begotten, not made, while angels are created.
- The biblical writers knew the detailed angelology of works like 1 Enoch and largely declined to use it. James 4:7 asks for resistance, not knowledge.
