  • Levitico 19:18 proibisce di nutrire rancore nello stesso versetto che comanda di “amare il prossimo come se stessi”.
  • La “radice di amarezza” in Ebrei 12:15 riecheggia Deuteronomio 29:18, dove la radice è una persona il cui cuore si allontana dal Signore verso altri dèi.
  • Proverbi 20:22 e Romani 12:19 dicono entrambi alla persona che ha subito un torto di lasciare la retribuzione a Dio.
  • Il commento di Gesù sul perdono in Matteo 6:14-15 spiega una riga del Padre Nostro: “come anche noi abbiamo perdonato i nostri debitori”.
