  • 聖書の中にダリル（Daryl、Darryl、Darrell）という名前の人物は登場しません。また、この名前にはヘブライ語や聖書的な意味もありません。
  • ダリルは、ノルマン・フランス語の姓であるダレル（Darrell）の異形です。 d’Airelle, は「アイレル（Airelle）出身」を意味し、通常はノルマンディー地方のアイレル（Airel）という地名と関連付けられます。
