The apostle Paul offers us practical guidance in Romans 12:18: "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." We are responsible for our own actions and attitudes, striving always to be peacemakers.

When conflicts arise, we would do well to heed the wisdom of James 1:19: "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."
