概要
- 聖水を飲むことは可能であり、罪ではありません。カトリック教会には、それを許可する、あるいは禁止する規則はありません。
- 聖水とは、教会の祈りによって祝福された水であり、十字を切るため、撒くため、そして家を祝福するために用いられ、洗礼を思い起こさせるものです。
- 多くの正教会のキリスト教徒は習慣として聖水を飲んでおり、多くの場合、毎朝の祈りの後に祝福されたパンと共に摂取します。
- 教会の聖水盤の水は飲むのに適していません。セビリアとオーストリアでの研究により、多くの人が訪れる教会では、感染症を引き起こす可能性のある細菌による深刻な汚染が確認されています。
- 教会の教えではなく、常識として、聖水を飲みたい場合は、清潔なボトルにきれいな飲料水を入れて持参し、司祭に祝福を求めてください。
- ルルドの水は湧き水であり、司祭が祝福しない限り聖水ではありません。
- 聖水は、イエスが喉の渇いたすべての人に提供する「生ける水」を指し示しています。
