耶孙出现在圣经中。在使徒行传 17:5-9 中，一群暴徒来到他在帖撒罗尼迦的家中寻找保罗和西拉，当他们没找到人时，便将他拖到城市官员面前。
当时的指控在政治上非常严重——违抗凯撒的法令并宣称有另一位君王——耶孙在缴纳保释金后才被释放，他为当晚离开的那些人承担了法律责任。
罗马书 16:21 中有一位耶孙问候大家，保罗称他为同族人。这是否是同一个人尚无定论。
