  • 28 has no symbolic meaning in Scripture. Its most memorable appearance is as the length in cubits of each tabernacle curtain (Exodus 26:2; 36:9).
  • Exodus describes the tabernacle twice — as specified and as built — across roughly thirteen chapters. The creation of the universe takes thirty-one verses.
  • Every measurement is for something portable. Israel is building a tent that moves when they move.
  • The materials came from an offering Moses had to stop, because people kept bringing more than was needed (Exodus 36:5) — the only building fund in Scripture closed early.
  • Factoring a number and multiplying symbolic values is not a method the Bible uses. A procedure that produces a meaning for every number is not testing anything.
