In the Bible, conviction is the exposing of sin so that a person sees and admits it. Jesus gives that work to the Helper he will send (John 16:8). It comes to David through Nathan’s “You are the man!” (2 Samuel 12:7) and to the crowd at Pentecost (Acts 2:37).
