概要

  • ペトロの手紙一3章7節は、夫と妻を「命の恵みを共に受け継ぐ者」として呼びかけ、「祈りが妨げられないように」と説いています。また、マタイによる福音書18章19節は、「二人が心を一つにして」願うとき、それが叶えられると約束しています。
  • 朝、就寝前、口論のとき、お金のこと、苦しんでいるパートナーのため、信頼、親密さ、決断、感謝、そして共通の目的をテーマにした、夫婦のための10の短い祈りです。
  • 1928年版『英国聖公会祈祷書』の結婚式の祈りでは、夫婦の「家庭が祝福と平和の安息の地となりますように」と願っています。
  • 『トビト記』の中で、トビアとサラは結婚式の夜に共に祈り、サラは「私たち二人を健康のうちに老いさせてください」（トビト記8章10節）と願いました。
  • 新しい夫婦のための祈りや、夫婦関係に問題がある場合の祈りとともに、虐待的な関係にある方への相談窓口も紹介しています。
