Prayers for Couples to Pray Together, from Wedding Prayers to Hard Days

  • 1 Peter 3:7 calls husband and wife “heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered,” and Matthew 18:19 promises an answer when “two of you shall agree.”
  • Ten short prayers for couples cover mornings, bedtime, an argument, money, a partner who is struggling, trust, closeness, a decision, thanks and a shared purpose.
  • The 1928 Book of Common Prayer’s wedding prayers ask that a couple’s “home may be a haven of blessing and of peace.”
