Summary
- Psalm 147:3 says God “healeth the broken in heart,” and Psalm 34:18 that he “is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.”
- Jesus read Isaiah’s words about being sent “to heal the brokenhearted” in the synagogue at Nazareth (Luke 4:18), and said of himself, “My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death” (Matthew 26:38).
